What makes it rewarding, is in the personal greetings you give to the family of Christ, making visitors feel welcome, and in receiving such greetings back. You will also get to know people’s names and faces quickly in doing this a few times.

Greeting

Greeting and Ushering at Trailhead is an opportunity to minister to the family of Christ every Sunday, as well as some special events like funerals, weddings and holiday services. Opening the door and being the first friendly face someone sees when arriving at Trailhead Church, and saying them "Welcome" can set the tone for the rest of their visit. Simply due to the necessity of opening doors, handing out bulletins, collecting the offerings, providing information to first time visitors, keeping an eye out for distractions and being available for general help during the service make it an important job- but also an easy one!

The Greeting and Ushering Team is an essential part of Trailhead's Ministry Teams. These individuals handle many details such as opening doors, handing out bulletins, collecting the offering and answering any questions. However, despite all of their duties, the only extra time required is 30 minutes before church service starts.

For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
